Orient Express pays homage to the golden age of travel and the legendary train that first left Paris for Istanbul in 1883. More than a train, it was an icon of European sophistication, linking West and East with velvet-lined carriages, fine dining and wood-panelled salons.

The fragrance recalls what its first passengers described as they stepped aboard: lemon-polished furnishings, fresh citrus oils, fine woods and oriental resins. Movement and stillness, refinement and mystery, clarity and depth, just like the route it honours.

The opening is clean and gently citrus: soft lemongrass, verbena, blood orange, kaffir lime and bergamot. A bright, uplifting start, fresh and composed.

At the heart, the composition turns green and aromatic. Vetiver, basil and bay leaf bring a refined herbal dryness, recalling the passing landscapes and the tailored elegance of the passengers.

The base is long-wearing and quietly luxurious: sandalwood, saffron, amber and agarwood (oud) build a warm, woody foundation with a soft resinous finish, echoing rich interiors, fine luggage and the quiet grandeur of East meeting West.
